FROM MARKET QUESTIONS TO LOCAL ACTION
Find a practical route into the Indonesian market
A product that works in one country may need a different commercial approach in Indonesia. Your intended customer, sales channel, product positioning and local partner all shape the work involved. JGA helps you explore these questions through market research and hands-on local coordination, rather than treating a list of contacts as a complete entry strategy.
Our focus includes FMCG, food and beverage, retail, hospitality and tourism. Support can cover distributor, importer, retailer and business-partner sourcing; supermarket pitch preparation; launch planning; trade-show follow-up; and local representation. The scope should reflect your product and commercial objective.
What you can discuss with JGA
- Market research and opportunity mapping for your product or service.
- Distributor, importer, retail and commercial-partner sourcing.
- Product positioning, pricing discussions and supermarket pitch support.
- Business meetings, translation, negotiation coordination and local representation.
- Trade-show preparation, introductions and commercial follow-up.
- Product-registration, halal and licensing coordination with specialist partners where relevant.
These services can be scoped separately. A distributor introduction does not guarantee an agreement, a supermarket listing or a sales result.
How we structure a market-entry project
Define the product and the question
Tell us what you sell, who you want to reach, your current export or market experience, and the decision you need help making. A product summary and preferred timing are a useful starting point.
Agree on the research and outreach
Discuss the target channels, partner profile and activities to be covered. Before starting, confirm the deliverables, reporting expectations, professional fees, third-party costs and any specialist involvement.
Turn local discussions into next steps
Depending on the agreed scope, JGA coordinates research, meetings, introductions and follow-up. You can use those findings and conversations to decide which opportunities to pursue and what further work is needed.

Market entry: common questions
Can you help us find an Indonesian distributor?
Yes. Distributor and commercial-partner sourcing are part of JGA’s offer. Discuss your product, preferred channels and partner criteria so outreach can be scoped to your needs. Any commercial agreement remains subject to both parties’ assessment.
Can you help with supermarket entry or a trade show?
JGA offers supermarket pitch and listing support as well as exhibition business-development coordination. Ask us to define the preparation, meetings and follow-up included. Acceptance by a retailer or event organiser is not guaranteed.
Do you handle BPOM, halal or licensing matters?
Relevant product-registration, halal and licensing work is coordinated with specialist partners. Whether a particular requirement applies, and who handles it, should be confirmed for your product and project.
Do we need to set up a company before speaking to you?
No. Start by discussing your market questions and preferred commercial approach. If company establishment is also part of your plan, explore our company-setup coordination service and agree on the appropriate specialist input.
